even more because this growth does not take into account the effect of inflation. growth in sales of a company is caused by growth in demand, the real growth as well as a virtual growth due to inflation caused by overall increase in prices. it seems we have now entered a period of negative real growth for nifty since the average inflation from jul07 to jul08 was probably more than 8.14%.
