WPI index announcement as of November 20, 2010 showed the Primary Articles inflation (think: food) was down to 12.72%, the lowest in a while.
What’s worrying though is the huge revision of 25 September – it was reported at 18.53%, but it’s now revised to 19.58%! That means we could see even the current numbers revised to much higher at a later date.
This whole inflation data thing is all screwed up – I need to do a much more detailed analysis of how our inflation indexes are split up. Right now, the revisions are dangerously high.
