Markets have gone on a tear, and we’re all wondering if it’s a bubble. At Capital Mind we bring you figures that give you alternate pictures, we’d like to state that if this is a bubble, it’s a lot less “stretched” than it has been in the past.

Let’s look at volumes though charts. Volumes in the cash market have gone up recently:

Yes, these are election days and one would expect volatility.

So how do volumes look over a much longer time? Let’s take the average daily traded volume on a monthly basis, and plot it since 1999 (15 years).
