The RBI Weekly Statistical Supplement: The What

For an RBI tracker like me, the central bank comes out with some fantastic stuff once in a while. Now they have released a detailed explanation of the Weekly Statistical Supplement (WSS) that the RBI releases on every Friday.

It talks about what each element is - the RBI Balance sheet, Reserve money, Money Supply, Bank Credit and so on.

The most important from a data perspective is the forex reserve data and the changes in that week. But now, the RBI seems to trade the forward market a lot more and I hope the RBI will add that data as well.

And I hope they add a lot of graphs as well. So that I need to do lesser work. Or maybe I should do that. Hmm.
