India continues to rank low at 130th position in terms of ease of doing business, with the country seeing little or no improvement in dealing with construction permits, getting credit and other parameters. (Link)

#general: FinMin looking at 1-2% cut in corporation tax in FY18 Budget
Revenue dept to start pre-Budget consultations from next week. The finance ministry is examining the possibility of cutting the corporation tax rate by one to two percentage points, even as the revenue department is set to kickstart Budget consultations with industry and consultants from the first week of November. #general: Now, you can zip down DND without bothering to pay toll
DND Flyway, the 9.2km-long access-controlled 8-lane road connecting South Delhi to Noida and East Delhi, is now toll-free. On Wednesday, the Allahabad high court passed an order restraining Noida Toll Bridge Company Ltd (NTBCL) from collecting toll with immediate effect. (Link)

In a big relief to lakhs temporary employee who have been hired by government departments and agencies across the country on contractual basis, the Supreme Court on Wednesday held that they are entitled to wages at par with permanent employees and principle of ‘equal pay for equal work’ must be followed.
