M&M Farm Equipment Sales Growth At 10.6%, Launches DiGiSENSE For Tractors

Mahindra introduced a new technology in its Arjun Nuvo brand of tractor. The technology named “DiGiSENSE” – is a 24×7 connected technology in tractors as it would improve the efficiency and productivity of farmers by providing live tractor tracking, alerts and online real time reports.

Ravindra Shahane, Vice President – Marketing, Farm Division, Mahindra & Mahindra said:

M&M FES reported sales of 15,007 units in February, 2017 against 13,574 units during the same time last year resulting in a growth of 10.6%.

  • Domestic Sales stood at 13,834 units against 12,702 units resulting in a growth of 8.9%
  • Exports stood at 1,173 units against 872 units resulting in a growth of 34.5%.

Commenting on the month’s performance, Rajesh Jejurikar, President and Chief Executive – Farm Equipment and Two Wheeler Division, Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. said:

We have sold 15,007 tractors during February 2017 with a growth of 11% over last year. We expect that record crop production in last rabi season & increased Union budget allocations to rural and agri sector will drive positive momentum in coming months. In the exports market, we have sold 1173 tractors with a growth of 35% over February 2016.
